Enter our three 9 Week Sledgehammer CrossFit Lifestyle Challenges.

9 weeks is long enough to see a drastic difference in appearance, but short enough to be manageable. Enough pressure to provide motivation, but with a clear deadline. More importantly though, it is just long enough to help you lay the foundation for a new lifestyle, founded on health and easily maintained once you get the hang of it.

We have 3 Challenges: The Chisel Challenge, The Beauties and Beasts Primal Challenge and our Special Forces Challenge.

All three of these challenges are suitable for ladies and guys and are run 3 times each year. The focus of each is slightly different though. 

Which one should I choose?

The short answer:

 

Chisel Challenge - Entry level challenge, suitable for any fitness level. Focus is on eating correctly.

Primal Challenge - Advanced challenge. Builds on the foundation of the eating plan introduced in the Chisel Challenge and increases the training workload. You need to have been doing CrossFit for at least a year.

Special Forces Challenge - Very advanced challenge. Builds on the eating plan and training level ability from the Primal Challenge and bumps it up a couple of notches. Actual special forces training. You need to have the Zone Diet 100% dialled in and have completed both the Chisel and Primal Challenges.

 

The long answer:

 

Chisel Challenge

We know what we shouldn't be eating....processed foods, sweets, sugar, junk food....the list goes on. But do you know what you should be eating? And exactly how much of it? 

Our Chisel Challenge introduces you to the eating plan we have used successfully since it's inception in 2014. Our coach has been using this eating plan for even longer. Why? Because it is healthy. Because it works. The Sledgehammer CrossFit Chisel Challenge has shown over and over again that a combination of consistent hard work and disciplined eating does produce visible results, in only 9 weeks. More importantly though, you will develop a keen awareness of what you are putting into your body and how it makes you feel. Doing so with the support of a group of like minded individuals and professional coaches makes it a lot easier!

What can you expect?

  • Increased energy and sense of well being

What is expected of you?

  • Commitment
  • Work out - do not miss a session. 
  • Minimum 3 training sessions a week

Anyone is eligible! It doesn't matter if you are not fit or are out of shape.

The Beauties and Beasts Primal Challenge.

Survival is at the core of our inner selves. Strength, fitness, the ability to work as part of a team and determination are some of the fundamentals of the will to survive. Our 9 week Beauties and Beasts Primal Challenge is aimed at developing just those basic tenets. And, of course, helping you look really good while doing it! Building on the nutritional foundation laid in the Chisel Challenge, the Primal Challenge is aimed at increasing strength and fitness.

What can you expect?

  • Challenging training
  • Team work
  • Increase in strength and muscle mass
  • 9 weeks of maximum effort culminating in a gauntlet of rigorous multi-faceted tasks, testing your will to survive.

What is expected of you?

  • Do the additional work
  • Eat
  • Get to know your Challenge Mates
  • Put in 110% of your effort

Who is eligible to join the Beauties and Beasts Primal Challenge?

Any individual, male or female who has been doing CrossFit for at least a year should handle the physical demands of this challenge.

The Special Forces Challenge.

 

Dominating is the name of the game when it comes to our Special Forces Challenge. The purpose is multi faceted: building on the nutritional foundation from the Chisel Challenge, we take the strength you have built up with the Primal Challenge and teach you to work longer and harder. And longer and harder. And then still longer. And harder. We make you stronger. We test your mental fortitude. Resilience. Commitment. 

What can you expect?

  • Dramatic increase in work capacity and endurance
  • Challenging, fun workouts
  • The best shape of your life, mentally and physically
  • Actual Special Forces Training

What is expected of you?

  • Do the work. Look forward to the grind
  • Eat. Hydrate. Supplement. Get enough rest
  • Minimum 5 days a week training, Mon - Fri
  • 2 hours of training per session average. A rucksack or pack will come in handy too

Who is eligible to join the Special Forces Challenge? You need to have been doing CrossFit for at least a year and have completed both of our other challenges successfully. You need to have a good grasp of basic movements and also need to have the Zone diet dialled in 100%. Both ladies and gentlemen.
